The History Of Soapnuts
(This blog can be found in video from here)
Thanks to their cleansing properties, Soap nuts are known for providing the most natural way to do your laundry whilst also protecting your skin. It’s no surprise that they're so popular today!
We all know that Soapberries are an amazing natural alternative to conventional products and are not only safe for us, but also for the environment, but what else is known about them?
Soap nuts (also referred to as soap berries) have historically always been a part of Indian culture and are still used widely by many. They’re grown on small trees called Sapindus trees, which are normally found in the Himalayas.
They have been used for centuries to wash clothes and garments as they cleanse clothes gently and leave no residue behind.
Soapberries have been used as laundry detergent, dish and hand soap, human and animal shampoo, body wash, and mosquito repellent, amongst other things.
